The differential blocks are mechanically designed to prevent incorrect coupling between the block and the switch: the power of the block must always be equal to or greater than that of the magneto-thermal switch. The lateral plastic clamp allows for faster assembly of the block on the circuit breaker and a button prevents possible interventions. It is used to protect human health in the event of an earth fault (electrical leakage) or phase-to-earth electrocution, thus also providing protection against macro electric shocks, both direct and indirect, on exposed persons. The type A differential block guarantees operation for AC type currents and unidirectional pulsating type currents.
