The Gewis differential magnetothermal switch is a device mainly used in domestic systems. It is a C-curve, 2P, 2-module residual current circuit breaker, with a rated current of 25A, a rated differential current of 30mA, a rated voltage of 230-240V and a breaking capacity of 230V equal to 4500A. The tripping threshold ranges from 5 to 10 times In, and is suitable for the application of ohmic-inductive circuits with medium starting currents. The particularity of this circuit-breaker is given by the fact that tripping is ensured for differential sinusoidal alternating currents applied both suddenly and slowly increasing, as required by the CEI EN 61008-1 standard.
