PM3255 Energy Meter: Specifications and Features
The PM3255 energy meter is designed for convenient DIN rail mounting and features a clear backlit LCD display with a resolution of 128 x 96 pixels. With certified accuracy of class 0.5S according to IEC 62053-22, every measurement is reliable, with a sampling rate of up to 32 samples per cycle.
Accurate and Detailed Measurements
This energy meter is designed to accurately measure a wide range of parameters, including energy, active and reactive power, voltage, current and frequency. It also measures power factor, apparent power and total harmonic distortion up to the 15th harmonic.
High Network Compatibility
The PM3255 energy meter operates on a 50 or 60 Hz network and accepts supply voltages ranging from 100 to 277 V AC, 173 to 480 V AC and 100 to 300 V DC.
Current and Voltage Configurations
- The line current rating for this meter varies between 1A or 5A input.
- The device supports single-phase, single-phase and neutral or three-phase configurations.
- The direct measuring range of the device covers 50 to 570 V AC, while with an external TV it reaches 570 to 999000 V AC.
- The voltage measurement range between phases is 80 to 570VAC (45 to 65 Hz) and between phase and neutral is 50 to 330VAC (45 to 65 Hz).
Communication and Memory Protocol
The PM3255 meter uses a communication protocol consisting of Modbus RTU and ASCII 2 cables with RS485 port. In addition, it has two digital inputs and two digital outputs, offers 512 kB of memory for event recording, supporting up to 15 alarms with logs for power and energy consumption.

The meter has dimensions of 3.54 inches in width (90 mm), 2.76 inches in depth (70 mm) and 3.74 inches in height (95 mm) and weighs 9.17 oz (260 g).
